Close To The Edge wins the final race on the card at Newcastle tonight. With Shane Kelly on board she broke from the stalls sharply and quickly set up a lead that the remainder of the field could not peg back, winning gamely by a head at 4/1. Another fine win for the Alan McCabe team.
