Una Bella Cosa ran a very good race at Southwell yesterday under Martin Harley. Martin rode an enterprising race to finish 2nd at a healthy 16/1, to Corn Snow a 3yo colt from the Mark Johnston yard. Although beaten comprehensively by the winner, and given no chance by the pundits and betting public, Bella left the rest of the field trailing in her wake three and three quarter lengths behind. Alan has reported today that Bella has come out of the race in good order and eaten up. She did suffer from quite a bit of sand in her eyes, probably caused by the wind, as she led the race from the stalls opening to being headed by the winner at the 2f pole. This problem has been treated this morning by constant washing out and Alan says she will be fine for her next engagement. This may be Southwell 2.50pm Wednesday 3rd April over 8f. There will be further information on the website regarding this entry on 1st April which is the declaration day.
