Showboating completed back to back wins at Catterick for the Alan McCabe Racing Team on Tuesday. His first success came at the course on Saturday 19th October over 7f with Danny Tudhope in the saddle. Ground conditions were heavy and this was the first time Showboating had tackled conditions like these, but he handled them well, coming off the pace late on and winning by 3/4 of a length going away at 12/1. Ten days later he was back to complete the double over the same distance and in similar ground, but with Sean Levey, one of his more regular jockeys in the saddle. This run was even more impressive, Showboating winning easily by 3 lengths going away and under a 4lb penalty awarded for his previous victory. This time he came home the 5/1 joint favourite.
